Lake Bluff Golf Club was established in 1968 and in its 44-year history the course has become a "must play" destination for golfers. Located on the scenic North Shore of Chicago, the golf course is one of only a few public facilities offering private club caliber amenities.
Lake Bluff Golf Club takes pride in the conditioning and playability of the course with features such as a million dollar state-of-the art irrigation system which allows the club to keep the bent grass fairways and greens in pristine condition year-round. The facility also includes an expansive practice facility with grass tee driving range, practice putting green, and short-game area with bunker. The professionally stocked Pro Shop and the Village Grill, which serves delicious food and a wide selection of beverages, are a couple of the superior amenities available to guests of the club.
The course measures 6,589 yards from the back tees with three additional sets of tees to accommodate the full gamut of golfers. Tree-lined fairways provide a beautiful yet challenging setting for all players, many of whom enjoy the fact it is an "easy to walk"golf course. For those who prefer to ride, top-of-the-line electric golf carts are available. Whether an individual opts to walk or ride, an average pace of play per round of 4 hours is a virtually unrivaled in the area.
In 2012, the club will be celebrating the 41st year as host of the Lake County Amateur, a premier amateur golf tournament providing a wonderful opportunity for all golfers to experience competitive golf under championship conditions. Lake Bluff Golf Club is also proud to be the home course for the 2010 and 2011 Illinois State Champion Lake Forest High School Boy's Golf Team.
Lake Bluff Golf Club is located 45 minutes north of downtown Chicago and is only a five minute walk west from the Lake Bluff Metra Train station located on the Union Pacific North Line. Club Amenities:
The Lake Bluff Pro Shop exclusively stocks equipment from leading manufactures including TaylorMade and Titleist. Equipment from other manufactures may be special ordered. The Professional Staff is available to expertly fit members and guests for the latest equipment on the market at no additional charge.
In addition, the Lake Bluff Pro Shop carries a wide variety of apparel and accessories for the game. Products from adidas, Nike, FootJoy, Donald Ross and other fill the shop each summer. A large inventory of the latest styles of golf shoes from adidas, FootJoy and Nike are available to members and guests.
Food and Beverage:
The Village Grill is open daily during the golf season and is located in the clubhouse of the Lake Bluff Golf Club. The Village Grill's exceptional food quality, selection and service have made it the premier vendor for all golf outings and events hosted at the Lake Bluff Golf Club.
Their menu features deli style sandwiches, garden fresh salads, soups and daily specials. The Village Grill also offers a full line of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The staff of the grill invites all guests to enjoy the incredible dining experience and pleasant surroundings overlooking the Lake Bluff Golf Club.
Dress Code:
Appropriate golf attire shall be worn at all time while on the golf course or practice areas. Denim attire is permitted.
Other:
Tee time cancellations or reduction on players must be received 24 hours in advance of scheduled tee times to avoid $25 per player no-show fee for non-contracted groups.
